Communicating Student Learning

South Broadview Elementary will be communicating student learning, throughout the school year, in the form of three formal Written Learning Updates and two informal conferences. The dates for communicating student learning are as follows:

October 20/2025… Student/Family/Teacher Conference. Conferences will be held during the school day. Students do not attend the regular school day, as they will only attend the scheduled conference with their family. Families will receive an email, with a link to create a booking for the Student/Family/Teacher Conference. Each student’s conference will be 15 – 20 min.

December 16/2025… First Written Learning Update. Students will bring home their first Written Learning Update, covering the reporting period from September 8 – December 15.

March 10/2026… Second Written Learning Update. Students will bring home their second Written Learning Update, covering the reporting period up to March 9.

May 4-7/2026… Student-led Conferences. Families will be invited to visit their children’s classrooms and the students will have the opportunity to show their families the wonderful work/activities they have been doing. Prior to May 4th, teachers will communicate with their students’ families about specific times the classroom will be open for Student-led Conferences.

June 25/2026… Final Written Learning Update. Students will bring home their final Written Learning Update, covering the reporting period up to June 24.
